– there is a famous Japanese song
– the name is ‘So-Shun-Fu’
[早春賦:the song (poem) of early spring]
– and in the lyrics
– the poet described at the onset as

the lunar agricultural calendar indicates
that the spring has come
but it is just the ritual incatation
the wind is still bitter cold …

– that’s quite true
– though the antecedent remains in doubt
– maybe almost Japanese are thinking now
– we are in the winterlike chilly weather these days
– because this calendar is based on
– the climate of Continental China
– so this calendar has been really unfit to our Japanese climate
– since ancient times in Japan
– though we have not surved the purpose of it
– for nearly two thousand years
– but if we think about this calender
– as it would be just the expected value of our inner yearnings
– yep, we are in the expectation maximization now
– yes, it looks like the flower buds of
– Somei Yoshino Zakura cherry blossoms
