– we, Japanese
– used to use the water 
– that uptook from roots of loofah
– as ‘lotion’ for female beauty wash
– and/or as liquid ‘medicine’
– for clearing one’s throat of phlegm
– once upon a time
– we used to see the common scene
– that people cut the stem of loofah
– and inserted the end of its stump
– into one-shou (1.8 little) sake-bottle
– and took its uptaking water in it
– at the time that the fluits matured
