– an old person in his kimono
– who has already made something of his life
– kneels on his knees,
– places his hands on his thighs,
– reads an old book on a lectern
– with sophisticated manner,
– stays in a Japanese tatami room
– on his Japanese cushion
– without any heating appliances
– in front of ‘Toko no Ma’ [床の間:little alcove]
– at where is an old ordered little bonsai pine tree
– with a peaceful and dignified face
– that cultives a fine flowing mustache to match
– in the solemn air somberly alone
– as still as an old statue
