– they finished Anmitsu long before
– there were just cherry seeds
– and half hitched pistils
– on their empty glass bowls
– though they have been chatting
– a good half-hour at their table
 
Anmitsu is one of Japanese traditional dessert
which is mitsumame dessert (boiled beans,
cubes of agar gelatin, and other delicacies
[e.g. cherry/pineapple/peach compotes, sweet jelly, soft serve ice cream ]
with molasses poured on) with bean jam.
people (particularly females) prefer to eat it in summer.
