沢瀉の抜かる身もゑむ水派縁

オモダカノ ヌカルミモヱム ミマタベリ

– arrowhead flower has the taste
– for the simple and quiet in itself
– tea ceremony masters are preferential
– to use their flower arrangement
– for their tea parties at this time of year
– however, the plant is one of weeds
– for the wet-rice agriculture
– hydroponists uproot them
– from their rice paddies
– and slap them into the river,
– on the path between rice fields
– nonetheless, they still blossom there   

おもだかの ぬかるみもえむ みまたべり
