– and was diminutivly called ‘Monkey’ by His Respect Lord
– he had won a lot of military glories
– one of them, Battle against Saitō Dōsan [斎藤道三], Mino,
– The Battle of Inaba-Yama-Jyo-Castle [稲葉山城攻め] at Gifu
– he gained a toehold of subduing Dōsan’s Army
– when he got the highly successful maneuver
– then he run up the ‘gourd’ that was used as the bottle of sake
– after that he had been allowed to use the simbol of ‘gourds’
– as the battle standard raised next to the horse of the commander
– by His Lord
