福豆の奪ひ合ひかな神の域

Beginning of spring / The traditional end of winter]
– on this day, shrines decorate
– the sprig of glochidiate holly leaves
– at the corner of their gates/entrances
– and famous persons who accept the offer of the position
– and throw beans at the high place of their shrines
– while shouting “Fortune in and demons out”
– Such traditional habit has been abhorrent to me
– though I wait for the time of shoots like pig it
– as one of packed worshippers
– who want to get the small packets of beans that are thrown
– by the famous and/or success young men and women
– on the shrine premise under the still cold sky
– on the cold cobbed groud annually
ふくまめの うばいあいかな かみのいき
