けふ見れば水田も清し蓮華原

– few weeks earlier
– i roamed the countryside
– Astragalus sinicus blossoms
– extended all around the field
– and i looked at the fine vernal vista
– as the carpet of the flowers there
– now i stand at the same place
– the field turns to the puddy field
– that is full to overflowing with the water
– sure, the scene in this sight means
– that all is vanity all and singular
– and every creature is constantly updated
– inclusive of me
